Why Work for Us?

There are many reasons why you would want to join us to help us deliver our Plan 2022.

A bit about us

Part business, part charity, part membership body – students’ unions are all seriously fun places to work. They are organisations in their own right. Professionally run, but different. Professional teams support elected student leaders so as they make change, improve lives and fulfil potential, we help make it happen.

We're in Zone 2 on National and Overground lines. Trains from London Bridge take five minutes, Shoreditch takes 20 minutes and into Oxford Circus takes 25 minutes.

Benefits and Perks

In return for your passion and experience we offer the flexibility for work-life balance, a competitive salary for the non-profit sector, cycle to work scheme, travel loans, a 3% pension contribution, extensive professional development opportunities, at least 24 days of annual leave plus closure days at Christmas and Easter. There is a discount in our cafe and you are eligible to an NUS Extra card. We’re absolutely open to considering requests for job-share or part-time working.

The benefits for student staff are different to reflect feedback about what works for them. As a London Living Wage employer we pay a supplement on top of the salary to reflect an allowance in lieu of annual leave

If you want even more details, then check out our Staff Handbook, a guide to some specific benefits of working here, or email the recruiting member of staff with your query.

We look forward to you joining us!
