Student Staff Roles

Student Venue Technician

Salary - £11.89/hour

The technical team at Goldsmiths Student’ Union are looking for a new staff member to play a vital role in the delivery of events in the new academic year. Using industry standard tools and techniques, the successful candidate will learn to assess and distribute the sound and lighting elements required for a range of events, including concerts, comedy nights, club nights, and art installations. This is a developmental role and is open to all abilities, with training provided throughout the year.

 

Against Sexual Violence Project Administrator

Salary - £12.39/hour

Hours - 15 hours September-December 2019 and 10 hours January-April 2020. These hours may increase on agreement from both parties and frequently are at unsociable hours.

We're recruiting for administrative support for the Against Sexual Violence project. You will support the team in the organisational and logistical aspects of the project, including maintaining the programme of training and facilitation, booking rooms, keeping records of attendance and feedback and supporting our Policy & Projects Coordinator in their duties. The post holder will be familiar with the project and Goldsmiths, and ideally be able to cover any of the Student Facilitators in their absence. Training will be provided if needed.

Student Voice Project Administrator

Hours - 10 hours per week between mid Sep to end of Oct, 5 hours per week from Nov to mid December

We are looking for a student to help us with a project in the first term (September-December 2019). You will work with the Student Voice team to help us support Programme Reps in a group of programmes with low satisfaction. You'll be a brilliant communicator with good organisational skills and a passion for championing the student voice.

Campaigns and Democracy Coordinator

The Campaigns and Democracy Coordinator is central to ensuring Goldsmiths SU is a hub for democracy and activism, ensuring students are involved in our decision making, elected officers are supported and trained, student campaigns are impactful, and our elections are fair and accessible. The post holder will be a versatile communicator, able to act confidently in politically vibrant environments, and have ideas for engaging our diverse student body.

 

Sports Coordinator

Salary - £25,083 per annum

Contract - 8 months fixed term

The Sports Coordinator is an essential part in sustaining our commitment health and well-being at Goldsmiths, through our recreational and competitive sports teams. They will help students to lead on their own sporting activity and support coaches to deliver training alongside
maintaining excellent communication with the student body.

It is a fixed term role, covering sabbatical leave of our current Sports Coordinator. We hope this opportunity can kick start a career, or offer a new challenge for someone.
