Welcome to Goldsmiths Students Union enchanting Nursery for children aged six months to five years old.

The nursery offers excellent care and learning provisions for children in a warm and nurturing environment.

The staff are highly qualified and extremely experienced in early years practice. Nursery staff work in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) which incorporates the importance of parent partnership and valuing each child’s individual needs, interests and abilities.

Children learn and play indoors and outdoors, daily.

Term Dates 2026 - 2027

Open 44 weeks (Minus 4 x bank holidays)

Autumn Term 2026

Tuesday 1st September to Friday 18th December (minus bank holiday Monday 31st Aug)

Staff Meeting Closure 2.30pm: Tuesday 13th Octoberr

Spring Term 2027

Monday 4th January to Thursday 25th March (minus bank holiday Friday 26th March)

Staff Meeting Closure 2.30pm: Wednesday 10th February

Summer Term 2027

Monday 12th April to Friday 30th July (minus spring bank holidays Monday 3rd May + Monday 24th May)

Staff Meeting Closure 2.30pm: Thursday 13th May

Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

The overarching principles of the EYFS are:

Each child is a unique child who is consistently learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.
Children learn and develop well in enabling environments with teaching and support from adults who respond to their individual interests and needs and help them to build their learning over time.
Recognise the importance of learning and development. Children learn and develop and learn at different rates.

Policies, procedures and codes of conduct are in place to ensure all students who attend Goldsmiths Nursery remain safe and happy during their time with us.
