Our society has a double purpose. Firstly, we aim to provide awareness of the effects of acid attacks on survivors, and to support and fundraise for those survivors. Secondly. we aim to promote the importance of inner beauty, hence our motto: inner beauty is easier to find than you realise.
We will be working with ASTI throughout the year. ASTI is a U.K. registered not-for-profit charity and the only international organisation whose sole purpose is to end acid violence at a global level. ASTI was founded in 2002 and has worked with a network of six local partners in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Uganda that it has helped to form.
Events throughout the year will include monthly visits to ASTI's organisation in the UK. self defence classes, fundraisers, workshops on sexual discrimination, and the effects of acid attacks and a masquerade ball. We also aim to create a monthly stream of news on the events we have carried out throughout they year.
