We're still recruiting for Department Reps for the 2018/19 academic year - and it could be you. Reps represent students in their department, undertake research into various aspects of student and academic life, and give feedback to the highest levels of College management, bringing about change that will impact thousands of students.
We are looking for passionate students who are effective communicators, have strong organisational skills, and are interested in producing research to highlight student opinion on a range of matters.
- A £700 tax-free bursary.
- The opportunity to improve your skills in a range of areas, including researching student opinion, writing reports, public speaking and the art of persuasion. These will all be recognised on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).
- The chance to meet directly with Heads of Department, College managers and decision makers in order to push for changes to improve the student experience.
If appointed, your term will begin in October 2018 and last for one year. You will only need to commit on average to one or two hours a week, which varies and is very flexible according to your schedule.
