Podcast recommendations...

As you’re probably self isolating and/or keeping your social distance right now, we thought we’d feature our fave podcasts, with a few recommendations from you guys too. Listening to podcasts can be relaxing as well as being mentally stimulating. They can also help you feel less alone. And if you’ve never listened to podcasts before, well now is probably a good time to start...

Welcome To Night Vale

This is one of our faves! The charming radio host of this isolated town has many stories and mysteries to share with you - a must listen!

Secret Dinosaur Cult

We won’t give too much away but all we will say is that Sophie Hagen and Jodie Mitchel are incredibly funny. You will laugh, talk about important issues and learn the names of many dinosaurs. If you’re a palaeontologist, you might be slightly disappointed though!

This Podcast will kill you

Hosted by Erin and Erin, two grad students studying disease ecology. They’re funny and brilliant at explaining the mysteries of viruses and science (topical). If you’re interested in learning about diseases and how humanity has fought against them, then this podcast is for you.

Philosophize this!

This is a free, educational podcast that we promise will get you all enthusiastic about philosophy. The thinkers and ideas that forged the world we live in are broken down and explained.

Your Queer Story

This podcast will help you discover many inspiring and historical LGBTQ+ figures. So get comfy, make yourself a hot drink and go on a journey of discovery and empowerment!

Girls Gotta Eat - student recommendation!

This fun comedy dating podcast is apparently well worth a listen. The show provides answers to the everyday questions that plague our modern dating hellscape - and nothing is off limits!

You’re Wrong About - student recommendation!

Mike and Sarah are journalists obsessed with the past. Every week they reconsider an event or person or trend which has been miscast in the public opinion. We’re hooked!

If you love the idea of hearing people's favourite meals and the memories that go with them, then this is the show for you! V. funny.
