End of term travelling advice...

As you will know, Spring term ends next Friday, 26th March. The government is asking students currently at term-time addresses not to travel home for the Spring break in order to minimise transmission of Covid-19. This is especially relevant for those who have only returned to campus in the last few weeks (from 8th March).

However, it is legally permissible to travel home, including international travel, provided you do so only once before Thursday 29th April. Make sure you follow these steps if you’re planning to travel...

  • Get a Covid-19 test before you go (more info below)
  • Get tested again before you travel back to College – using community testing facilities where possible. You can find community testing facilities in your area using this postcode search.
  • If community testing isn't available, get tested on the first day you return to campus.
  • Once you return to campus you should test as soon as possible, and weekly/twice weekly thereafter as you access campus facilities.

Testing will be available on campus, before the College closure period, on the following dates:

Monday 22nd March
Tuesday 23rd March
Thursday 25th March
Friday 26th March
Monday 29th March
Tuesday 30th March

If you're planning to remain and access campus during the break you should continue with weekly testing and are reminded to observe the Covid-secure guidance whilst using campus facilities.

Testing will resume on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8th April.

If you have a test booked and no longer require it or have to reschedule, make sure you cancel the original booking. Please only book the first slots of the day (10-11am) if you have a critical requirement to access in-person activities on campus that day. Those requiring routine testing or testing to travel are kindly asked to consider booking at a later point in the day in order to allow the College to prioritise those students using campus on that day.

If at any stage you test positive, you will be required by law to self-isolate for 10 days. Let the College know if this happens.
