An update from our SU Advice team...

We would advise against withholding tuition fees as this could result in the university not allowing you to progress into next year or withholding your results. It could also potentially put you at risk of debt collection processes.

If you have any further questions about debt collection processes it could be helpful to contact StepChange for more advice.

As a large percentage of students pay their tuition fees through student finance, the withholding of fees is unlikely to put significant pressure on the College.

The College has a complaints process and it could be possible to raise how you have been affected through this process here

You can make a complaint over what you've experienced; but you cannot make a complaint about things that you anticipate you are going to experience. We have therefore put together a log that can be used to gather information about impact that could be used to make a complaint.
