We’ve noticed we’ve been receiving a number of questions and queries about your accommodation in the new term, so we thought we’d share a little info…

 

Are you a new student who has applied to live in halls of residence?

If you’re about to join us at Goldsmiths for your first year and have applied for accommodation, have a read of the application page to find out more. 

Accommodation applicants will have already received some communications and the team are slowly sending out offers so you should check your email account that you used to apply. You can also contact the team directly via accommodation@gold.ac.uk.

If you’ve applied to Goldsmiths through Clearing, there’s a special accommodation application process for you. This will open after you get your A-Level results, so check back then.

 

Are you a returning student who needs somewhere to live next year?

Don’t worry! We know you may not have had the easiest time in finding accommodation for this forthcoming academic year because of Covid-19 restrictions. 

There’s some good news though: you can still apply for accommodation through the University, as it’s likely there will be some room. For more information about the process of applying, check out the Goldsmiths accommodation application page!

You can also take a look at the official guide to Goldsmiths accommodation to learn about your options if you haven’t already done that. Need an accessible version of the guide? No probs! There’s one available, just contact the uni in order to request it.

 

Do you need to withdraw your application?

If you change your mind or don’t need a place in halls any more, it’s easy to withdraw your application to the College. All you need to do is drop the Accommodation Team an email at accommodation@gold.ac.uk.

 

Are you concerned about social distancing while moving into accommodation? 

Although your official accommodation start date is Friday 18th September, the College will be implementing a policy of staggered arrivals to minimise contact, aiming to have everyone moved in by Sunday 4th October. If you need to self-isolate during that time, they will prioritise your needs. You’ll get more information when you receive your offer.
