Talking Therapies Southwark have planned a series of webinars for university students about mental health, including this ‘Mindfulness as self-care webinar.’ As a service, they provide a range of treatment options to help people improve their psychological wellbeing.
What’s the event about?
Mindfulness can be an extremely useful tool for students. It's the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where you are and what you are doing, and not overly reactive or be overwhelmed by what is going on around you. Exam season can be very stressful so you could use this webinar as a way of taking some time out of your busy schedules to restore, recuperate and reap the benefits of mindfulness.
This webinar will give you an understanding of what mindfulness practice is and how it improves wellbeing. It will provide you with 3 different mindfulness practices to help you de-stress and relax, and it will support you in creating a self-care wellbeing toolbox for when you feel overwhelmed.
