Hello Boulderers!
Welcome to the Goldsmiths Bouldering Club!
This society is for climbers of all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned professional. Our sessions are extremely relaxed and friendly, so don't worry if you don't want to attend every session - that's completely fine. (We'd like to see your face every so often though!)
Official sessions
We meet every Monday at 17:30! The Monday sessions are held at Climbing District - Bermondsey. The gym is close to Bermondsey or Surrey Quays stations, which are extremely easy to get to from uni. Sometimes, we like to change things up and head to other gyms, or go outdoors! Look out for updates and events on Instagram.
Membership
For the whole year, it's just £50 Membership entitles you to use of our climbing equipment, access to the Arch, bouldering patch, invitations to and subsidies for our socials, and climbing trips!
We may need to pay for entry to the climbing wall but this will be discounted for members. Please contact the committee for details.
Taster Sessions / Waiver
During Give It a Go week you will be able to attend our sessions! If you have not purchased a membership product before your taster or trial, you MUST complete a waiver form > HERE!
Sport Access Grant
Students who are experiencing financial difficulty are welcome to apply for the Sports Access Grant. There is no deadline, but applications will be prioritised for those wanting to compete for the club. To apply please click > HERE
Competitions
This year we want to start a competition team and the first competition will take part in is LUBE. The first round will be on 26th October but the team can change between rounds and we are always keen on joining other competitions, so please get in touch through ig or at the sessions if you're interested in joining the team!
Membership Payments
The payment system through the SU website is not working at the moment, but you can still pay by bank transfer. Please follow these steps to pay to the Students' Union account:
1. You should send the membership amount for your club to the Students’ Union bank account. You must include
as the reference - 2400.49 and your Goldsmiths student ID Number. Example: 2400.49 / 3339993
