Not only offering competitive football, Goldsmiths Men's Football is a great place to come and meet new people & be a part of the biggest sport on campus. Our competitive squads play matches against teams from various London universities (LUSL Saturdays) as well as travelling to universities around the UK (BUCS Wednesdays).
The 1st and 2nd squads train together on a Saturdays and Mondays. The 1st and 2nd team are run by UEFA and FA qualified coaches. As a member of the competitive squads, you willl also get occasional access to a programme of social events which will be announced once the season kicks off!
We are a part of the GFC Hub and offer a range of extra responsibilites and opportunties to our members. This includes leadership & training programmes, community development opportunties, annual tour, media internships, funded coaching courses, opportunties for paid work and much, much more.
For extra playing oppourtunities during the year and when players graduate, we have a well-established alumni club - AFC Oldsmiths - creating comprehensive pathway and development for all players involved with Goldsmiths Football!
When We Play
Team Training: Mondays & Tuesdays 7 - 9pm at Deptford Green School, Pagnell Street, SE14 6AN. Starting Monday 25th September 2023
Matches: Wednesdays 2pm KO (Loring SG). Away games (varied locations & KO times)

Our home venue is Loring Sports Ground. We have 3 full-sized grass pitches kept in great condition throughout the year.

Taster Sessions / Waiver
During Welcome Week and Give It a Go week you will be able to attend our sessions at no cost! If you have not purchased a memebership product before your taster, you MUST complete a waiver form > HERE!
Sport Access Grant
Students who are experiencing financial difficulty are welcome to apply for the Sports Hardship Fund. There is no deadline and applications will be reviewed on a 1st-come-1st served basis. To apply please click > HERE
