POLE CLUB IS BACK!
Welcome to Goldsmiths Pole Dance Fitness Club! We're so excited to be back for 2023/2024. Pole is for everyone regardless of gender, size, fitness level (your strength, flexibility and coordination will increase over time!). We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to more experienced pole dancers!
Timetable
Pole classes for the Autumn Term (until 15 Dec 2023) are currently suspended. BUT pole classes will be back from January - June 2024!
For the remaining weeks of the Autumn term until 15 Dec, we will be running drop-in non-pole classes like floorwork, conditioning, and stretch/flexibility classes to keep you fit until we can pole together again in January!
Classes from January 2024 onwards will be on Monday nights for both Beginner and Intermediate levels, and we might also have another class on Wed 5-6pm if there’s a demand.
Draft schedule (order of classes may change, we will update the schedule in December):
Intermediate: 5-6pm
Beginner: 6-7pm
Conditioning/Stretch: 7-8pm
Floorwork/Pole Choreography: 8-9pm
We will also have special workshops with guest instructors every term!
*All participants MUST complete the PARQ form via this link before attending our classes: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kQVLHF3WfaexhEHetEyan3HyG860Y_qBIvfy2JSbNdg/edit

What to wear/bring?
You need to wear shorts and sports bra or top to allow enough skin to grip to the pole. Our skin is what keeps us in the air! Leggings won't allow much grip, so try to wear shorts.
Bring a towel or microfibre cloth to occasionally wipe the pole, and water bottle.
DO NOT moisturise 24 hours before pole sessions! You can bring your own pole grip/chalk if you wish.
For choreography, you can wear pole heels or be barefoot/in socks. We highly advise to cover your knees either with kneepads or long socks or leggings.
Feel free to email us with any questions or queries at poledancefitnessclub@goldsmithssu.org or DM us on Instagram, @goldpoledance :)
