Rhyme & Reason

Thu 17 October 2019 19:00-01:00 - SU Bar and Venue

Join us as we take you on a journey through Hip Hop. From it's humble beginnings to worldwide billboard chart domination!

Hip Hop has becoming the driving force of popular culture for over a decade; from it's catchy bass-lines, daring fashion and everyday lingo. It's now solidified itself within the fabric of the world and to show our appreciation we'll be screening the renowned Hip Hop documentary-film Rhyme and Reason.

Director Peter Spirer spotlights the world and culture of hip-hop, examining its popularity and future. Spirer covers such frequent rap song topics as race, violence, police, family, and sex as he talks to a variety of performers from both coasts. Interviews with Sean "P Diddy" Combs, Dr. Dre, The Fugees, Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, the Wu-Tang Clan and more unlock the history of the genre.

The screening is followed by a afterparty lead none other than Rotation's Femi Fem and regular Rinse FM resident Donch. Expect to hear nothing but the best Hip Hop and R&B bangers!
