Who are student representatives?
Whether you're doing a PhD, a Master's, or an undergraduate course, a student rep role is all about supporting students and creating real change in your course.
As a Student Representative, you will:
- Speak Up - Represent your fellow students' opinions, ideas, and feedback to staff and faculty. Be the bridge between students and decision makers!
- Boost Your Skills - Gain experience in chairing meetings, leadership, problem-solving, and empowering your peers. Great for the CV
- Meet New People - Work with a fab team of students and staff while connecting with classmates. Teamwork makes the dream work!
- Help Shape Students' Educational Experience - Got ideas for a better student life? Make them happen! Your input matters!

How to apply?
We recruit new student reps in the Autumn term and at the end of the Summer term. If you want to apply, just fill out one of the Google Forms listed below.
Applications are open until midnight on 31 May.
Role hours and pay
- Faculty Rep: Approx. £1,345 (paid in 3 tax-deductible instalments) 100 hours per academic year (40 hours term 1 and 2, and 20 hours in term 3)
- Undergrad School Rep: Approx. £1,277(paid in 3 tax-deductible instalments) 95 hours per academic year (40 hours term 1 and 2, and 15 hours in term 3)
- Postgrad School Rep: Approx. £1,277(paid in 3 tax-deductible instalments) 95 hours per academic year (40 hours term 1 and 2, and 15 hours in term 3)
- Postgrad Research Rep: Approx. £807 (paid in 3 tax-deductible instalments) 60 hours per academic year (approx. 2 - 4 hours per week)
