Full-Time Officers are the center of our Students’ Union organisation. They work as an elected team to shape the strategies of the SU, speak out and support students across Goldsmiths University and hold the university to account throughout the year. They also sit on the Board of Trustees for Goldsmiths SU and vote on important issues.
We have four elected Full-Time Officers (President, Campaigns & Activities Officer, Liberation & Welfare Officer and Education Officer) who work full time, salaried roles on a one year fixed term contract. Every year we hold elections to see who will lead our SU for the year to come - with new Officers beginning their term in June each year.
We also have two volunteer positions open to attend this year's NUS conference as Delegates of Goldsmiths SU. These two positions are also decided in our elections. At the conference the delegates will vote on policy and scrutinise the work of NUS and NUS elected Officers. NUS rules state that half the delegation should be self defining women, meaning the two vacant positions can only be filled by self-defining Women.
Nominations are now open to join our Full-Time Officer team (and NUS delegate roles) - you can submit your application through our online form here. All our form asks for is a little bit of information about you, a photograph and a manifesto - this needs to be submitted by 10pm Wednesday 24th February for you to run in this year's elections.
Nomination week: 11am, Monday 8th February - Wednesday 24th February, 10pm
Voting week: 11am, Wednesday 10th March - Wednesday 17th March, 11am
