Know Your Housing Rights

Know Your Housing Rights

Thu 25 May 2017 14:00-16:00 - The Stretch

Problems with your deposit, disrepair or rent? Strange terms in your contract that don't seem fair? Or is the rent in halls just too damn high?

Shelter is more than a national campaign against homelessness and for housing rights. It's also a source of free, confidential and impartial advice on the law: your rights, your obligations, your choices.

This workshop is designed by our specialist housing advisers with students and university workers in mind. Explore how you could negotiate with a private landlord or even the university, and get some free basic advice on your specific questions in our quick-fire Q&A.
