Galop is the LGBT+ anti-violence charity. They have been making life safe, just and fair for LGBT+ people for over 35 years, and support all LGBT+ people who have experienced violence or abuse.
For this session, Galop will focus on LGBT+ people's experience of sexual violence. We will discuss the impact of homophobia, biphobia and transphobia on accessing support, ways to create safe spaces for LGBT+ people to disclose who they are and what’s happening, and how to refer and inform LGBT+ people about specialist support.
The first half of the session will be a short presentation by Galop's outreach worker for their Sexual Violence Support Service, followed by a Q/A session and open discussion
