Holocaust Memorial Day

Holocaust Memorial Day

Tue 29 January 2019 11:00-13:00 - The Great Hall

You are invited to join Goldsmiths' Jewish Community, as they hold a ceremony to commemorate all those who perished and suffered in the Holocaust, as well as many other genocides throughout history. This will be a space for staff and students to intentionally remember these events and remind ourselves of our commitment and duty to learn from these events so that we can see a more peaceful world, free from these horrors.

This year's Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony will include a choir, speakers from various societies and external speakers such as Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner and Rabbi Gavin Broder. It will also include addresses from the Goldsmiths SU Sabbatical Team and a short speech from the Goldsmiths Jewish Community Committee.
