Join Goldsmiths Students’ Union and some leading thinkers for a panel discussion to debunk myths, challenge narratives and paint the picture of how we can fully realise a society with free education.

Sarah-Jayne Clifton - Director, Jubilee Debt Campaign

Sarah-Jayne is the director of Jubilee Debt Campaign, a UK charity campaigning to tackle the injustices of illegitimate debt and build a financial system that puts people first.

Gholam Khiabany - Senior Lecturer in Media and Communications

Gholam’s academic career has focussed on the relationship between citizenship, political activism and media and cultural practices, including alternative media.

Taylor Mcgraa - Education Officer, Goldsmiths Students’ Union

Taylor McGraa is the Education Officer at Goldsmiths Student Union. The first of her family to go to university, she holds a strong belief that education is a right, and a powerful tool for social change. In her role, she strives for equity in education, and to break down the bourgeois nature of HE institutions.

Dr Faiza Shaheen - Director, CLASS Think Tank

Faiza is an economist, writer and commentator. She is the author of a range of materials and publications covering the most salient social and economic debates of our times, including inequality, austerity, immigration, youth unemployment and social mobility.
