Black History Month Book Hunt

A map of London. Text reads: BHM BOOK HUNT

Sabbatical Officer Fowsia Kadiye and Race Equality Researcher & Specialist Sofia Akel are highlighting 8 books by Black authors from the UK and US through a participatory event designed to get students thinking about both the local area and Black literary history. Through our book hunt, students can guess the locations of these 8 amazing books and win a copy as a prize!

How it works:

  1. We will post a picture of each book in its location, on our instagram page (@goldsmithssu).
All of the locations are on campus or around London.

  2. You can guess the locations of the books by commenting on the posts.

  3. If you guess correctly, your name will be submitted to a prize draw for the book.
There will be two winners for each book.

  4. Winners will be announced at the end of Black History Month and will be able to pick up their prizes from the Students’ Union Welcome Desk!

Join us over on our Instagram page as we reveal the books on Friday 16th October 2020.
