Instructor Profiles

Boxfit: Instructor, Melissa

"Fitness and in particular boxing is important to me because it's taught me self-discipline and given me structure. I have been involved in sports for many years, however, it was with boxing that I found the drive to keep developing and stay committed to one sport. I love how it makes me feel strong and how there's always new things to learn, a never ending journey of discovery! In my class you can expect that I will talk through and teach you the basics of boxing, how to throw a punch combination and also you can expect to sweat! We will be incorporating some strength and conditioning into the latter part of the session but the focus will be on boxing!"

Self Defence: Instructor, Sarah

"I'm a black belt in kung fu (Shaolin, Nam Pai Chuan) and currently teach regular women's kung fu classes on zoom. Self defence is part of my training and there are a lot of caveats when teaching self defence techniques. The most important is that you should, ideally, never need to use them. Avoidance and awareness of your environment are at the top of the list. We'll be looking at what comes after that: striking and blocking, momentum and body mechanics, where your body is strong and your opponent's is weak. We will focus on pre-emptive and centre-line strikes, looking forward to seeing you all!"

Core Cruncher: Instructor, Ogo

"As a multi-sport athlete and coach, I have found that core fitness is an essential element to incorporate into your training regime. Core training is essentially exercises that focus on your abdominal and back muscles and during this session we will be going through a mixture of static and dynamic exercises. I will  aim to keep these as simple as possible so you can keep working on them after the session is completed."

HITT: Instructor, Bea

Fitness is my passion! I love the rush you get both during training and after a workout! I have found regular training and fitness to be so important to maintaining not only my physique, but also my overall mood and well-being and I love sharing this passion with others & helping them to set and meet their personal goals. Be prepared for a fast-paced, high-octane hour to finish off the week, looking forward to seeing you there!
