Goldsmiths Labour looks to actively promote socialist principles both on campus, through the Student Union and Student Assembly, and in the local community.

You can get involved by doing the following things:
The Labour Party was formed out of the trade union movement to give working people their own political voice. The link from the workplace to the party through the affiliated trade unions is what makes it unique to this day. This link is more important than ever, especially for young people and students, as we work together to tackle the urgent problems we face as a country, from zero-hero contracts to below living wage wages. "The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect."
