Event Inspiration

Here are some examples of previous events that will hopefully help ger your creativity flowing!

 

  • MCCS students went to see the Barbershop Chronicles at the National Theatre.
  • A group of students from History went on a night walk to a talk about the history of night walking.
  • Educational Studies students enjoyed a free end of year lunch.
  • The first Postgraduate Book Club took place place in the SU Cafe - and these will continue throughout the academic year.
  • History, Sociology, and IMS students all had half-term refresher socials, with food and drinks included.
  • The PhD Coffee Break is being relaunched - a monthly coffee break for all PhD, MPhil and MRes students to get together, enjoy a free lunch, play boardgames and socialise with each other.
  • ICCE students went to a live performance of Oslo at the National Theatre. 
  • STACs students from the Dance Movement Therapy MA went to see an emotive Dance performance show at the Roundhouse.
  • Design students got a little festive with an end of term gathering, including piles of mince pies and festive drinks.
  • Sociology students ran a film series called "Cities on Screen" with films related the topic of urban sociology.
  • MCCS students organised a talk by Matthew Todd, former editor of Attitude Magazine.
  • Music students held a talk by the Musicians Union with a networking mixer.
