This year has seen our Student Union face some of its biggest challenges yet, these monumental problems have left us torn apart and as a broken union we must now re-build..

Having sat on the Trustee Board as a student elected member I have witnessed these issues unfold, as we take the SU forward there is opportunity to assist with the re moulding of our reputation, student involvement, trust and quality of life. The importance of equal representation within the establishment can not be over looked, the board is a place in which decisions regarding the Unions spending are both monitored and brought into question..

Having faced many of my own personal battles with education systems over the years, arriving at one that is held with much regard, but still leaves students feeling unsupported and out of their depth leaves us with many questions.. I’m a second year student on the Fine Art BA, I feel the perspectives I bring to the board differ from the usual white collar perspective of what the student body needs..
