MISS SUHEDA TOP

VOTE SUHEDA TOP FOR #1 BME OFFICER AND NUS DELEGATE

Hey, my name is Suheda Top, first year of Economics, Politics and Public Policy. I’m running to be your next BME (Black, Minority, Ethnic) officer and NUS delegate, aiming to represent all students at Goldsmiths, both on campus and nationally.

A vote for me will mean a vote for:

  1.  A representative curriculum that covers a broader and diverse scope of study

  1.  Tackling the BME attainment gap

  1. Facilitating BME drop-in sessions and forums as opportunities for feedback that contribute towards anything that develops in the SU

  1. A push for greater BME representation in SU positions, from course reps to staff members

  1. Collaborating with other Officers to uphold the Safe Space policy

  1. Preventing Prevent legislation on campus and opposing any further strategies to create an atmosphere of division and paranoia at Goldsmiths

  1. Ensuring diversity is celebrated and that BME focused issues have a raised awareness both nationally and locally

  1. Launching community links between BME students

  1.  Creating a BME Alumni networking organisation for students to have a reflective mentoring system

  1. Representing Goldsmiths BME students nationally
